The Virtual Fracture Care app, formerly known as the OLVG Trauma app, provides users with prompt responses to their inquiries regarding the management of their injuries. Users can select their affiliated hospital, allowing the app to present pertinent information specific to that institution. This initiative is rooted in the belief that patients throughout the Netherlands should receive consistent treatment and information. The content of the app is enhanced and expanded collaboratively, aiming to ensure uniform, high-quality information for all patients with fractures. All hospitals in the Netherlands are encouraged to join this endeavor.

Within the app, users can find answers to important questions such as: How long will my recovery take? What exercises can I perform to aid my recovery? How should I care for my cast? What should I do if my cast gets wet? The app includes informative photos and videos to guide users through these concerns.

Additionally, the app features a contact form that can be utilized for various purposes. For instance, if you sustain an injury while abroad and seek treatment advice, or if you wish to send a photo of a wound for remote assessment, this functionality is available to facilitate communication and support.
